For more than 40 years Südwind, an Austrian Non Governmental Organisation, is advocating for a sustainable global development, human rights and fair working conditions across the world.
With a headquarter in Vienna and 7 regional offices in the provinces it reaches out to local actors all over Austria. Südwind applies the unique international development expertise it has acquired to both its teaching work, particularly “Global Learning”, and its awareness raising and campaign work. The diversity of Südwind’s projects reflects the complexity of North-South relations, culturally, economically, environmentally, politically and interpersonally. Südwind is committed to environmentally, economically, and socially sustainable development. Being originally founded by the Austrian Youth Council for Development Cooperation youth work has always been at the heart of Südwinds work next to awareness raising and formal education. Südwind is currently engaged in Erasmus+ projects “Reflections: educating for critical thinking, inclusive societies and dynamic engagement“, “Paths of interculturality“, “EVOLVET – European Volunteer Coordinators Vocation Education and Training” and “Agenda 2030: A training program for multipliers in the youth sector to understand the SDGs” as well as numerous other projects and initiatives focussing on students, youth and the global role of the EU cofinanced by EuropeAid, Erasmus+, Europe for Citizens and national sources.
Since beginning of 2019 Südwind is also partner in a DG HOME ISFP Project against violent extremism called „Rhizome against Polarisation“ and an AMIF project „NEMO – New Media in Education to overcome Migrant Online Discrimination“ – experiences of both projects will be used and built upon in Hatebusters project. Additionally Südwind is working in various DG HOME AMIF projects on integration as a two way process always working with both third country nationals and welcoming communities. Also in Europe for Citizens SISUMMA (Social Initiative of Support to Minorities through Media Activism) project Südwind worked against discrimination. Additionally Südwind is working in different projects on self-empowerment of mainly disadvantaged youth. Human Rights in general are at the core of Südwind’s advocacy and education work, Südwind also holds UN ECOSOC Observer Status and participates regularly in Human Rights Council in Geneva as well as is active in a number of other human rights bodies e.g. the Steering Comittee of the OECD Contact Point for multinational enterprises in the Ministry of Economics. Also human rights education is a main part of our work on global education or education for global citizenship. Südwind will also cooperate in the project closely with the AT No Hate Speech Comittee (www.nohatespeech.at) whose coordinating organisation BOJA is also formally associated to the project. In the AT No Hate Speech Comittee Youth organisations and NGOs work together with scientists and the responsible ministries.

Danmar Computers LLC, established in 2000, is a private company operating in the field of Information Technology and providing vocational training in this field. Danmar has experience in developing modern Web and mobile applications that are used for educational purposes. Danmar also has long-term experience of carrying out European projects within which the R&D staff conducts research and prepares trainings tailored to the needs of various learners. It has successfully implemented over 90 projects within Grundtvig, Leonardo da Vinci, Progress and recently Erasmus+. Besides being the technical partner, in many of these projects Danmar is responsible for designing and coordinating dissemination strategies. Danmar Computers is the developer and provider of AdminProject, the on-line system for management of European projects.

All activities of the company are based on wide and well-established cooperation network, both at national and international level. The national networks include training and counselling institutions, universities, schools, non-governmental organisations, as well as private sector companies. International networks include partners of various profiles coming from every European Union’s country. Danmar Computer’s mission is the promotion of life-long education and assurance of equal access to education for everyone with the use of modern technology.

“KAINOTOMIA” is a Center for Lifelong Learning (I.C.L.L) in Greece, operating in the field of Vocational education and training. KAINOTOMIA has implemented more than 60 continuous vocational training programs targeted at unemployed people, educators of all education levels, students of higher education, employed/self-employed persons and vulnerable social groups, for the development of professional opportunities and their promotion and integration into the labour market and the society in general, through innovative close to market programs. “KAINOTOMIA” provide business consultancy to companies & supporting services and consulting support services to trainees to facilitate their (re) entrance into the labour market. KAINOTOMIA has participated in several national projects, offering a high degree of expertise regarding training in contemporary fields, matching them with those that have a high demand in job’s market, in order to develop trainees’ knowledge, skills and attitudes towards their integration in the labour market. “KAINOTOMIA” has been participating in co-funded national projects under the name of “local development plans and entrepreneurship for unemployed based on specific local needs and growth potential”. Furthermore, it has  16 large EU current projects, under Erasmus+, as a coordinator and partner.

“KAINOTOMIA” works closely with various enterprises, having a network of over 60 collaborative partner businesses, mainly industries. Therefore, has a strong network of collaborating associations and partners in Greece and Europe. The organization collaborates with Region & Local Government, Universities and Technological Institutes and Private & Non-Private Companies in Greece and in Europe. “KAINOTOMIA” is a member of Association of Thessalian in Enterprises and Industries and has strong collaboration with the Enterprise Europe Network-Hellas.

Mine Vaganti NGO is a non-profit organisation established in Sardinia in 2009, whose services encompass Education and Training, Project Design and Development, Thematic Research, International Mobility, and Consultancy – in Youth, Adults, Education and Sport sectors. MVNGO has 3 offices in Sassari, Olbia and Tempio Pausania impacting the North of Sardinia and reaching out with its operational branches to many other regions in Italy, around Europe and beyond.

MISSION
MVNGO promotes intercultural dialogue, social entrepreneurship, social inclusion through Sport, Formal and Non-Formal Education including disadvantaged targets as migrants and people with disabilities.

MVNGO is a very dynamic entity in its area (North Sardinia) functioning as the only bridge to European Mobilities for youngsters, adults, VET and HEI users. Since 2009, the NGO has taken part in many transnational projects as the main organizer/coordinator, as partner and as sending organization. To improve professional skills of social workers dealing also with the topic of this project the organization executes local seminars and international events.

Crossing Borders (CB) is a non-profit, non-partisan civil society organisation. The vision of CB is a world in peace with itself in which diversity is celebrated. The mission is to create dialogue space toward such a world and to build the capacity of youth, media workers and educators to realise the above vision. The overall goal is to enable people with different backgrounds to learn to live together on equal terms.
Crossing Borders started as a project in 1999 in Denmark in support of meaningful dialogue between the conflict parties in the Middle East. In response to increased activities and demands for the CB concept and services, it was transformed, in 2004, into a dynamic organisation with activities in Denmark and abroad.
CB activities comprise four programmes

  • Global school services for high and primary schools in Denmark with the purpose to bring the world in the school and the school out into the real world.
  • Global Højskole for youth leaders from across the globe to learn about the key dimensions of globalisation: diversity, climate change, peace and conflicts, the media, the Global Goals for sustainable development and social enterpreneurship.
  • International projects focusing on youth participation in public and global affairs.
  • Volunteer programme as a way of enabling youth to gain real life experience and active citizenship
  • Food for Thought Storytelling bi-weekly events
  • Teacher conferences on current global issues of concern for educators.
  • Publications of educational materials, youth magazine and newsletters

In recognition of its contribution to peace dialogue, Crossing Borders was awarded “an Honourable Mention for the Euro Mediterranean Award for Dialogue between Cultures 2006, with the theme “Mutual respect among people of different religions or any other belief “by the Anna Lindh Foundation for the Dialogue between Cultures and the Fondazione Mediterranean”.
